Based on our experience, but also with respect to the suggestions of many Fathers of our church, we produce the Holy Communion wine under the discreet name of "Nama Byzantino". Among dozens of Greek varieties, we selected the Tyrnavos Muscat and the result is a purple and fragrant wine, which is characterized by the prevailing sweet and fruity flavor of the muscat.
"Nama Byzantino" contains only natural grape sugar. We seek this high sweetness, because such a sweet wine manages to maintain itself its stability against refermentation without the need to add any other substances.
